A Message From Your Seminar Leader

Dear Colleague:

With an increasing number of students identified with high-functioning autism, we know the importance of having supportive strategies and resources to help them thrive in our schools. Meeting the diverse needs of our students while upholding high learning standards presents unique challenges for us as teachers. As a teacher myself, I understand firsthand how often we find ourselves in reactive situations, which can make it difficult to shift to more proactive support. This seminar is designed to better equip resource room teachers like us with the tools and strategies we seek, so that we can create the best possible learning environment.

This seminar will deepen your understanding of your students with sensory needs, and environmental influences that impact their learning, and will expand your toolkit of practical strategies leading you to more positive outcomes for your students with high-functioning autism. Together, we'll explore ways to create learning spaces that respect individual needs and achieve more personalized solutions for the challenges we face.

I am excited to share my passion and effective, ready-to-use strategies with you! This will be a day full of learning, discovery, and fresh perspectives as we dive deep into current, researched-based techniques that improve academic, behavioral, social, and functional growth for students on the autism spectrum. By the end of our time together, my goal is for you to feel renewed and ready to implement these approaches confidently and immediately!

Sincerely,
Quinn Novy

P.S. The focus of this seminar will be on practical strategies you can use immediately to help students with autism spectrum disorders experience greater success at school!
