Kate Degner is a highly experienced and current secondary mathematics educator. She has served as a grades 6-12 mathematics teacher, instructional coach, teacher mentor, and author. Kate has supported grades 6-12 mathematics teachers as the secondary mathematics coordinator of her school district. She has authored dozens of articles related to best practices in mathematics education and was named the 2023 Robert Yager Outstanding STEM teacher of the year. Kate is also the author of Catching Up Students Who Have Fallen Behind in MATH (Grades 6-12), the extensive digital resource handbook you will receive at the seminar. A frequent presenter at state, regional and national conferences, she inspires mathematics educators with innovative, practical strategies and activities that are easy to incorporate and impactful.
