Christi Gilbert is an innovative and experienced ESL teacher, ESL content area specialist, and outstanding presenter. Her background includes decades of K-8 classroom experience. Throughout her career, she has stayed true to her mission for working with challenging students, including ELL students with many different educational and historical challenges. The methodologies and ideas she presents empower all students and focuses on acceleration and assets over remediation and deficits. She is noted for her enthusiasm, her attention to research-informed practices, and her love for her students is obvious in her seminars. Christi is the author of Improve Your ELL's Students' Learning Using Multisensory Vocabulary Instruction, the extensive digital resource handbook each participant will receive at the seminar.
