Marjorie (Marge) Porter has completed extensive graduate work beyond her Master's in the field of science education and has worked as a research assistant in both the Arctic and the Antarctic regions. She has over 30 years of experience as a high school and middle school science teacher. Marge is passionate about the need to involve young people in authentic science investigation, knowing that it is essential to their overall development and eventual career choice. She conducts NGSS and STEM professional development seminars in science, both regionally and nationally. Marge is the author of Maximizing Student Engagement and NGSS Proficiency Through Phenomena-Driven Strategies (Grades 6-12), the extensive digital resource handbook you will receive at the seminar.
