A Message From Your Seminar Leader

Dear Colleague:

As a fellow educator, I once struggled to implement differentiated instruction in a classroom full of students with diverse backgrounds, learning preferences, learning styles, and motivations. I truly believed differentiation was one more thing and a lot of EXTRA work. I already had trouble keeping up with curriculum pacing guides, ensuring exposure and mastery of essential learning, maintaining the fidelity of the curriculum/program, and managing an already full plate – all while my students were at completely different points in their learning. Sound familiar? But the truth is, differentiation doesn't have to be extra work!

If you think of differentiation as a lot of extra work, then I want to show you how quick and easy it can be to successfully respond to students. We'll look at how to provide differentiated instruction in a variety of ways to meet the varied needs of your diverse learners. I will share time-efficient, highly effective strategies for incorporating differentiated instruction into your classroom that you will wish you had long ago.

We'll take one of your current lessons and incorporate differentiated tasks into it. You'll experience firsthand how easily (and powerfully) you can enhance your existing lessons and activities to help each of your students experience appropriate levels of challenge regardless of background, preference, or motivation. I have learned and refined dozens of innovative, research-based strategies and techniques for differentiating instruction. My goal for this day is to demonstrate the best of the best of these exemplary differentiated instruction strategies, activities, and ideas with you.

Best of all, you'll see how to do all of this in ways that require minimal teacher prep time! In fact, you'll discover how many of the strategies we explore can give you back valuable time, allowing you to engage your students at deeper levels. You will learn dozens of differentiation strategies that can be used with any curriculum or program to greatly increase the success of your grades K-6 students. Plus, you will leave with an extensive digital resource handbook, as well as special access to my additional online resources!

Sincerely,
Ryan Doetch

P.S. I want a former student to return one day and say you were the reason why they were inspired and became successful in school.
