A Message From Your Seminar Leader
Dear Colleague:
I get it. I see you, and the students you're trying to help. Each and every day you put in hours of effort to help all students grow and achieve, while faced with the challenge of meeting the needs of reluctant and unmotivated learners. Unmotivated students may refuse to follow directions, argue, withdraw from classroom discussions, or shut down completely. As educators, we strive to encourage students to perform but sometimes we need new tools in our toolbox to meet them where they are.
Motivation can be cultivated, practiced, and achieved. During our day together, I will give you practical ideas and proven methods to reach unmotivated and underachieving students. We will take a closer look at your existing strategies and take your current classroom to the next level – Motivation and Inspiration 2.0! Through tools that enhance your academic presentations, student accommodations that support a variety of response options, extrinsic-to-intrinsic strategies, and a positive climate, you can support students with "I can't" and "I won't" behaviors to become "I CAN" students!
Whether you have students with special and diverse needs, students who are underachieving, or students that don't seem to care about being at school, I have created this seminar for all students needing encouragement. And in turn, I hope to encourage YOU and strengthen your motivational abilities and techniques as an educator. You and I will spend the day with one focus in mind: to increase student motivation for school success. Students will feel empowered by the strategies you will teach and model for them, and YOU will feel empowered when you see your newly-acquired tools working.
I invite you to learn the best-practice approaches to help your struggling students, and I look forward to meeting you and inspiring you to expand the limitless potential that you and your students both have.
Sincerely,
Anissa Moore
P.S. Prepare for an interactive and collaborative day! The emphasis will be on proven and practical strategies you can use immediately in your work with your unmotivated students. You'll leave with a wealth of valuable tools, resources, and strategies you will be able to implement immediately in your classrooms.
