As an experienced Pre-K and Kindergarten teacher of ELL’s, I understand the challenges you face in creating a positive learning space where all students can achieve. Our ELL students come to us with knowledge and skills that we must be ready to tap into and integrate into the new learning experiences we seek to provide. We have an opportunity to help students grow and become more confident learners in yet another language! This seminar is designed to give you a wealth of strategies and tools for strengthening language skills, promoting a more positive and culturally inclusive classroom, and fostering a classroom community of active and engaged learners.

Get ready for a fun and dynamic day as I share dozens of ready-to-implement mini-lessons, games, and center activities perfect for your three-, four-, and five-year-old ELL students. Every strategy can be utilized to meet the various readiness levels your Pre-K and Kindergarten ELL students come into the classroom with. Semester Credit Option
UMASS Logo Up to four graduate level professional development credits are available with an additional fee and completion of follow-up practicum activities. Details for direct enrollment with University of Massachusetts Global, a nonprofit affiliate, will be available at this program.

Meet Inservice Requirements
At the end of the program, each attendee will receive a certificate of participation that may be used to verify hours of participation in meeting continuing education requirements.
