About the Instructor – Andrew Mann

Andy Mann is an experienced classroom teacher, technology pioneer and energetic presenter. He is sought after for his well-recognized ability to meet the needs of participants with diverse levels of knowledge and comfort with new technology. His passion is to help teachers, administrators, support staff, and students learn to use technology to improve teaching and learning. As an educator with more than 25 years of experience supporting technology integration in schools, Andy brings a wealth of experience to each seminar.

Andy is the author of Best Use of iPads and Other Cutting-Edge Technology to Strengthen Content Learning (Grades 6-12), the resource handbook each participant will receive at the seminar. Andy contributes to an ongoing column on tech trends, tips and tricks to his state’s technology in education journal. He is the recipient of the International Society for Technology in Education (ISTE) “Making It Happen” Award and is a Google Apps for Education Certified Trainer.

Andy’s presentations include practical ideas, tips and shortcuts for iPads and other cutting-edge technology. From his experiences as a tech director and secondary classroom teacher, Andy understands the big picture as well as practical uses in the classroom to enhance instruction. Participants leave Andy’s presentations with a wealth of strategies and lesson ideas they will be able to use immediately in their own classrooms.
