About the Instructor – MariBeth Plankers

Uniquely Qualified Instructor

Maribeth Plankers has been a practicing speech-language pathologist for the past 30 years. She has worked with children and adults of all ages and ability levels in public and private schools, preschools, residential centers, clinical settings, and in private consultative practice. MariBeth has focused most of her career on working with students with complex communication needs that involve augmentative alternative communications and autism spectrum disorders. She has had multiple opportunities to train colleagues in the areas of assistive technology and universal design for learning.

MariBeth’ s experience as a speech-language pathologist and in consultative planning has given her additional insight into uniting the clinical and educational skills needed to collaborate and work in an inclusive setting.
