David Vawter is an outstanding teacher and teacher trainer who has trained over 55,000 teachers in North America. As an experienced secondary teacher, David knows what works and what doesn’t in today’s diverse secondary classroom. Recognized as one of the outstanding teachers in his state, David is the author of BEYOND BASIC DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION: Practical Strategies for More Effectively Using Differentiated Instruction to Enhance the Academic Success of Your Students (Grades 6-12), the resource handbook each participant will receive at the seminar. Additional authorship credits include the first national study on the effective implementation of block schedule classes, Changes Associated with Block Schedules in American Secondary Schools, as well as a contributing author of Teaching in the Block by Canady and Rettig. Drawing on his own classroom experiences as well as those of thousands of other secondary teachers across the country, David enthusiastically shares his passion for effective teaching and learning in the secondary classroom.
