About the Instructor – Rebecca Gault

Rebecca Gault is an enthusiastic presenter and master secondary teacher. She has a wealth of knowledge and experience with the most effective strategies teachers can use to support and increase the reading skills of their struggling students. Rebecca is a National Board Certified Teacher in Adolescent and Young Adult English Language Arts and a published author of several books on the topic of secondary literacy.

She has been trained as a Master Teacher through her work with her State Department of Education, and in this capacity, provides ongoing staff development to teachers across her state. Rebecca teaches online literacy courses with an emphasis on meeting the instructional needs of all students, particularly those who struggle. As a Teacher Specialist for her district's Professional Development Office she works tirelessly to gather the latest innovative ideas to motivate students and enable their success as readers. While her strategies for helping struggling readers are research-based, they are also practical and easy-to-implement.
