Dr. Mary Howard is known for her highly practical and engaging presentation style. With decades of experience teaching reading and writing, she is respected throughout North America as a leading voice in literacy. She has extensive elementary experience as a reading specialist, reading consultant, Reading Recovery and special education teacher and continues to work with teachers and children across the country. Mary understands the realities of helping children learn to read and write using research-supported practices.

Mary is the author of Increasing Your Reading Intervention Impact: Intentional Differentiated Interventions to Accelerate Literacy Success Across the Day (Grades K-5), the extensive digital resource handbook each participant will receive at the seminar. She is also the author of Good to Great Teaching: Focusing on the Literacy Work that Matters (Heinemann); Moving Forward with RTI: Reading and Writing Activities for Every Instructional Setting and Tier (Heinemann) and the best selling, RTI from All Sides: What Every Teacher Needs to Know (Heinemann).
