About the Instructor – Heather Kenny

Heather Kenny is an outstanding Science of Reading expert and national presenter. Over the course of her 25+ year career in education, she has served as a classroom teacher and literacy tutor. Heather now works with teachers, schools, and districts to support other educators in implementing practical, science-based instructional techniques that can improve literacy outcomes for all students. Heather understands the challenges that today's educators face, especially as they strive to address the needs of struggling readers. She is passionate about empowering teachers with the latest science-based knowledge and skills so that they are well-equipped to provide their students— particularly those who struggle— with optimally-effective literacy instruction.
