About the Instructor – Cathy Andronik

Cathy Andronik is a highly experienced secondary level school librarian. One of the greatest joys of her work is the opportunity to share her passion for young adult literature with teens, to hook them on reading and keep them coming back for more. Within her own state, Cathy has chaired and served on multiple selection committees for young adult literature. For over a decade, Cathy has also served on a variety of national book awards committees including the Odyssey Award, the Best Audiobooks for Young Adults, Best Fiction for Young Adults, and the Excellence in Nonfiction for Young Adults.

Cathy is a regular presenter at state, regional, national, and international conferences on the topic of outstanding young adult literature and audiobooks. Cathy is also the author of The Best Young Adult Books of the Last Five Years to Excite, Challenge and Engage Your Students, the extensive resource handbook each participant will receive at the seminar. Cathy uniquely combines her passion for uniting teens with the best young adult literature with her years of experience as a school librarian, book reviewer, and presenter.
