Participants attending any trainings sponsored by the Bureau of Education & Research have the opportunity of earning graduate level professional development credit through University of Massachusetts Global, a nonprofit affiliate of the University of Massachusetts, with an additional fee. On Demand Video-Based Online Courses
For 1 credit, participants need to enroll in and successfully complete a BER On Demand Video-Based online course, then register for the credit at the University of Massachusetts Global website. In addition, participants must complete a follow-up practicum project. A full explanation of the project, along with a detailed rubric and grading scale can be found at the University of Massachusetts Global website. The fee in all states and provinces is $70 (in U.S. funds) for 1 credit.
For 2, 3, or 4 credits, participants must enroll in and successfully complete a BER On Demand Video-Based online course, then register for the credit at the University of Massachusetts Global website. In addition, participants must complete a follow-up practicum project and additional topic-based research. University of Massachusetts Global (UMass Global) was established in 1958 by Chapman University and was initially named Chapman University College..
In 2009, the institution was renamed to Brandman University and became its own regionally accredited institution, accredited by WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC). The university expanded its programs to include the adult learner and invested in hybrid, online, and competency-based learning modalities to meet the needs of busy adult students.
In May of 2021, Brandman University formed a strategic partnership with the University of Massachusetts, and in September 2021, became University of Massachusetts Global, a non-profit affiliate of the University of Massachusetts system.
