RAY KLEIN is an outstanding mathematics teacher and a dynamic presenter. He brings to this seminar a wealth of experience in using state-of-the-art technology to teach his own mathematics classes in grades 6-12. Ray is the recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Teaching Mathematics and he is a frequent presenter at local, state, regional, and national mathematics conferences. Ray is the author of several articles on how to implement technology in the teaching of mathematics and he recently co-authored a mathematics textbook for the University of Chicago School Mathematics Project (UCSMP) series scheduled for release in the 2008-2009 school year. In addition, he is the author of ENHANCING ALGEBRA INSTRUCTION Through Using Graphing Calculators Both With and Without Computer Algebra Systems (CAS) (Grades 6-12), the resource handbook each participant will receive at the seminar. Ray is known for the enthusiasm and high level of energy he brings to his presentations. His seminars are well-organized, lively and filled with practical ideas and activities you can implement immediately as you teach algebra and algebra-related topics.
