Petra Nelson is a highly experienced special education teacher, national and international presenter. With decades of grades PreK-12 experience, Petra has worked in self-contained, resource and co-taught special education settings. She has worked with thousands of teachers and administrators in all areas of special education, including specialized instruction, behavior support, inclusive practices, transition programs, differentiation, multi-tiered system of supports, administrative procedures and co-teaching implementation.
Petra knows firsthand the challenges facing special educators in supporting students with disabilities. She is passionate about providing real, practical, strategies for helping students make maximum gains through meaningful accommodations, modifications and differentiated instruction. Petra is also the author of Special Educators: Accelerate Progress for Students with IEPs By Making the Best Use of Differentiation, Accommodations, and Modifications the extensive digital resource handbook each participant will receive at the seminar.
