As the name suggests, guided math parallels guided reading. For years, teachers have been using guided reading to meet the needs of students at their instructional level in language arts. In this seminar, you will learn how to successfully develop, set up and introduce guided math to differentiate instruction in the mathematics realm. This seminar will also allow you to discover ways to find the time needed to work with individuals and small groups through the use of practical, standards based centers that will actively engage, challenge and meet the needs of all students whether you are working in-person or online.
As teachers, we work hard to provide engaging, respectful work that will challenge students at all levels of learning. Guided math does just that! The center activities are tested and practical. You will leave with an array of ideas and activities you can use the next day in your classroom or online learning environment. You will also have the opportunity to see how your current math curriculum and materials may be used in conjunction with the guided math framework.
