A Message From Your Seminar Leader

Dear Colleague:

With the multitude of technology tools available to educators, making the decision on when and how to incorporate technology effectively isn't always easy. Selecting technology that is more accessible, engaging, and a powerful catalyst for 21st century learning while also using our existing technology in more innovative ways to strengthen student learning is what this one-day seminar is all about!

As a teacher and trainer, I have explored some of the best free and low-cost tools available for helping students learn in kindergarten through sixth grade and I am ready to share them with you. I have carefully designed this seminar to support each of us as we make mindful and informed choices based on the specific needs of the students in our classrooms. Together, we will explore the potential of tools to better engage your students to enhance and accelerate their learning. You will leave this seminar ready to move forward with the support and information you need to implement these outstanding tools as soon as you return to your classroom.

At this unique and timely one-day seminar, we will focus on specific ways to use technology to boost learning with practical strategies for increasing learner engagement, ideas for more easy peer collaboration in the classroom, and ways to easily support students in need of additional practice and review. We will explore a variety of intentional practices for integrating technology in ways that will increase the learning in your classroom. I hope you will join me for an informative day to discover new technologies and reimagine familiar ones. Semester Credit Option
UMASS Logo Up to four graduate level professional development credits are available with an additional fee and completion of follow-up practicum activities. Details for direct enrollment with University of Massachusetts Global, a nonprofit affiliate, will be available at this program.

Meet Inservice Requirements
At the end of the program, each attendee will receive a certificate of participation that may be used to verify hours of participation in meeting continuing education requirements.
