A Message From Your Seminar Leader

Dear Colleague:

We have all experienced moments where behavior gets in the way of student learning. When this happens, we find a way to make it through the lesson, or even the day. But when challenging student behavior is pervasive or severe, the consequences for both students and staff are significant. Students with challenging behavior are more likely to be removed from the classroom, disciplined, or expelled. Educators who struggle to manage challenging student behavior are often left feeling defeated.

But these feelings of frustration or exhaustion, can be avoided entirely when we know how to apply proven techniques for designing a proactive learning environment; one that is layered with high-leverage practices and built on a foundation with strong relationships. I have designed this seminar based on my practical experiences and lessons learned as a classroom teacher, behavior specialist, and instructional coach. This seminar will provide you with dozens of strategies and ideas that you can easily implement in your Pre-K and Kindergarten classrooms.

With nearly 20 years of experience in special education, I am excited to share my ideas, strategies and expertise. Much like you, the success of students is my main priority. Grappling with how to support our youngest learners, many of whom have extremely taxing behaviors, is especially challenging. Join me for a day of idea sharing, collaboration, and active learning.
