Dear Colleague:

Just when you thought being a teacher couldn’t get more challenging, along comes months of pandemic-related disruption. Students who previously struggled with behavior are disrupting our classrooms more than ever, and some of our students who were manageable before are now struggling to make school “work” for them. For these reasons and more, we seem to be experiencing new levels of challenging behavior that repeatedly disrupt your academic instruction time. If all of this sounds familiar to you, I invite you to attend this highly practical seminar that will provide you with strategies you can use immediately to reclaim your valuable time with students.

For so many of our students, recurring challenging behaviors are very often a by-product of trying to navigate an increasingly complex and complicated world. This seminar is designed to provide you with practical strategies that will help you meet your students where they are and more easily create an environment to help them recover and regain their footing. We will identify ways to help our students replace their repetitive maladaptive behaviors with more effective ways of getting their needs met. The skills presented were gained through years of practical experience as a classroom educator and from decades of interactions with highly skilled educators over the years. I have had the privilege of seeing these strategies successfully transform resistant learners into motivated learners, and I can’t wait to share them with you!
