Uniquely Qualified Instructors

Dr. Mary Howard is a much sought after national literacy consultant. Mary has extensive experience as a Reading Recovery, special education, Title 1, and resource teacher as well as reading specialist and coach. Mary continues to work with children through in-school support. She is the author of three books including RTI from All Sides and Good to Great Teaching (Heinemann).

Mary Peterson is an enthusiastic, grades K-6 teacher with decades of teaching experience and is known for her highly motivating, very practical ideas and strategies for helping teachers to work smarter, not harder, in their classrooms. She is an expert in teaching reading to all students, particularly those who struggle. Participants regularly praise Mary’s down-to-earth, practical, idea-packed sessions for helping struggling readers.

Sharon Zinke is an outstanding teacher and engaging presenter. After decades as a classroom teacher, reading specialist and resource specialist in public schools, Sharon now works with teachers and assists schools in creating powerful structures for reading intervention. She is the author of Rime Magic: Phonics-Powered Prevention and Intervention for All Students and The Decoding Solution: Rime Magic and Fast Success for Struggling Readers (Scholastic).
