Practical Ideas and Strategies
Preschool and kindergarten students walk through the doors of our schools and classrooms with vastly different
pre-reading skills and experiences. The question we face as early childhood educators is how to meet the needs of ALL students in our classroom – those who have been read to since birth as well as those that have rarely seen a book.
Response to Intervention (RTI) can help close this gap before some students start to fall behind. Join Angela Cameron in her practical seminar focused just on pre-K and kindergarten as she examines how to effectively utilize the RTI three tier model. Angela will share numerous classroom tested activities, ideas, and strategies appropriate for Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3 instruction. Activities will focus on phonological awareness, phonics, vocabulary, comprehension, and fluency, as well as writing and oral language.
The entire day is packed with practical ideas you can take back to your classroom and implement immediately with your own students. Join Angela for a day devoted to learning how to use RTI to increase and enhance the literacy development of all your students.
