A Message From Your Seminar Leader

Dear Colleague:

With so much already on our plates as K-2 teachers, the challenges of using technology in our classrooms can be overwhelming. There is so much to learn, so little time and the vast number of apps and websites makes it difficult to decide where to begin. I have designed this seminar to help you enhance what you are already doing with technology, like iPads and mobile devices, in your classroom, while saving you time. I will share dozens of practical ways iPads and other cutting-edge technology can be used to increase learning, participation and motivation for all your young learners.

In this activity and technology-packed day, I will share numerous free or low-cost apps ideal for use in K-2 classrooms that provide the practice and application of skills and concepts we want our students to master. We will look at all areas including reading, writing, listening, speaking, math, social studies, science, and how you can use technology in your work stations. You will gain the knowledge and confidence to use mobile devices and other cutting-edge technology more effectively with your students as well as many practical, easy and engaging activities to try in your classroom.

Remembering that technology is one of many tools for instruction, you will discover how you can easily incorporate it into what you are already doing to differentiate instruction and meet the needs of all the digital natives in your classroom. Don’t miss this exciting and strategy-packed day all about using iPads, mobile devices and technology in grades K-2!

Sincerely,
Mary Peterson

P.S. This day will be focused on practical and timesaving strategies – all designed just for grades K-2!
