Sarah Robinson is a 22-year veteran grades 6-12 English/language arts teacher. She is known for her passion for teaching reading, writing and critical thinking at the secondary and adult levels, as well as igniting that passion in her students. Sarah has served as a Professional Development Master Teacher, providing seminars in best practices for literacy, as well as developing and facilitating online curriculum for teacher professional development. After earning her National Board Certification, she served as a National Board Facilitator, working with teachers pursuing their certification in English/language arts. While teaching, Sarah’s classroom served as a Professional Development Learning Lab for new and struggling teachers, and she worked extensively with the district to help teachers enable their students to be effective readers, writers and thinkers.
Sarah has presented nationally, providing information and demonstrations for best practices in both physical and online classrooms. She is the author of Increasing Student Engagement, Motivation and Learning in English/Language Arts (Grades 6-12), the extensive resource handbook each participant will receive at the seminar.
Sarah is known for her down-to-earth approach and practical strategies that actively engage students. Her lessons and ideas are user-friendly in any classroom and can be implemented the very next day.
