Sarah E. Robinson is a 20-year veteran English/language arts teacher and a university level writing instructor. She is known for her passion for teaching reading and writing at the secondary level, as well as igniting that passion in her students. Sarah has served as a Professional Development Master Teacher for her district, providing seminars in best practices for literacy and the Common Core as well as developing and facilitating online curriculum for teacher professional development. After earning her National Board Certification, she served as a National Board Facilitator, working with teachers pursuing their certification in English/language arts.
For the past several years, Sarah has opened her classroom as a learning lab for new and struggling teachers, and has worked extensively with her district to help teachers enable their students to be effective readers and writers. She is the author of, Meet the Rigorous Common Core State Standards for WRITING: CRITICAL RESPONSE and ANALYSIS Helping Students Think and Write Critically and Analytically about What They Read, the extensive resource handbook each participant will receive at the seminar.
Sarah is known for her down-to-earth approach and practical/useable strategies that have students actively engaged in their reading and writing at all times. Her lessons and ideas are user-friendly in any classroom and can be implemented the very next day.
