Dr. Denise Gudwin is an acclaimed teacher, author and outstanding, nationally recognized presenter. She brings a wealth of knowledge of practical ways to increase literacy achievement with struggling readers. Experienced as a classroom teacher, literacy specialist, teacher trainer, and a special education program and professional development administrator, Denise brings decades of experience working with students who have reading difficulties. She is the author of The Most Effective Strategies for Accelerating the Success of Your Struggling Readers (Grades K-6), the resource handbook each participant will receive at this seminar.
Denise has also authored Phonological Awareness and Early Literacy Assessment, Early Wright Skills Program (McGraw Hill/The Wright Group, 2007); and Mentoring and Coaching: A Lifeline for Teachers in Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Classrooms (2009, Corwin Press).
