I heard a quote not long ago that I embrace as I work with students and teachers: “If you want a child to read, give him a pencil. If you want a child to write, give him a book.” Reading and writing with our youngest learners is my love and my passion. Let me share with you that excitement as we spend a day together that is loaded with reading and writing connections.
