How soon may I expect to receive confirmation from Chapman after I’ve registered with them for course credit?
You may expect to receive a mailed confirmation letter from Chapman within 30 days of Chapman’s receipt of your registration paperwork and fee. Your confirmation will also include the name and address of the specific reader assigned to evaluate your course project for mailing your completed project.

What are the requirements for receiving credit?
The following information is found on the enrollment form presented
at the seminar to those individuals enrolling in follow-up credit at
the seminar.
If the individual is taking a audio seminar, current requirements are listed on the
Chapman University College website.
The participant must attend (or listen to), and participate in, the entire seminar.
As follow-up to the seminar or conference session, the participant must develop at least three practical
projects per credit based on the seminar presentation. The projects should be designed
to be implemented into the participant's program, i.e. worksheets, lesson
plans, center activities, or plans for implementation of any topics presented.
A three-page paper per credit is required based on the projects.
This will be graded with a letter grade of A-C or No Pass. A detailed rubric and grading

How long do I have to complete the final
project for the course?
The project is due six months from the seminar start date, or in the case
of an audio seminar, six months from the date of Chapman University College course enrollment.

How do I register for credit after attending a seminar or conference?
a) At the seminar: Complete the registration form and give it and your payment to the on-site Program Manager. Keep the upper portion of the form as it includes the instructions for your coursework.
b) By mail: Submit your completed Chapman course registration form, a photocopy of the Certificate of Participation you will receive at the end of the seminar, conference or training and your $65 (U.S. funds) tuition payment (checks are payable to Chapman University College, or include your Visa, MasterCard or Discover Card number and expiration date) to: Chapman University College, Extended Education, BER Practicum, One University Drive, Orange, CA 92866. Be sure to submit your completed registration before submitting coursework.
c) By fax: Fax the information above with your credit card number to
(714) 997-6641.

What kind of credit is it?
The credit the participant will receive upon the successful completion
of the follow-up practicum is graduate elective semester credit. These are
professional development units that are not part of a degree program but
instead are primarily used for professional advancement purposes such as
salary increment steps and recertification.

What is the cancellation/refund policy in regard to Chapman
credit?
Participants who request cancellation in writing within thirty (30) days of
course enrollment, will receive a refund less a $ 20 processing fee. (If registering at the
seminar, the date of enrollment is the date of the seminar. If participant
mails the enrollment form directly to Chapman, the date of enrollment is the
day Chapman receives the enrollment form.)

BER audio seminars/Chapman credit - is there a timeline following
purchase of an audio seminar by which participants need to apply for Chapman
credit?
No, there is no timeline by which participants
need to apply for Chapman credit. Once a participant does enroll with Chapman University College, there is
still a six-month time limit for completing and submitting the final project.

I am completing my Chapman course during my school vacation period / hiatus
and do not have access to students. How do I complete my project in light of the requirements
for evaluating student learning, my own self-evaluation and the need to include documentation?
All components of the course requirements must be addressed. If you do not have access to
students to practice your activities on, you may approach your paper in the following way:
- Explain your situation on the title page.
- Describe the methods you intend to use for evaluating your students’ learning experience.
- For self-evaluation, comment on your strengths and weaknesses as pertaining to the
implementation of the activities. Discuss what you expect to happen in terms of your own abilities.
- Documentation could include handouts, an example of the activity, charts for evaluation, lesson plans etc.
