A Message From Your Seminar Leader

Dear Colleague:

As the diversity of student abilities continues to widen and the requirements for all students to meet specific standards and benchmarks increase, the need for differentiation becomes even greater. Many of us have been exposed to differentiation practices, have tried them with students and are working to incorporate them into our secondary classrooms, but are often challenged by the expanding requirements of curriculum, paperwork, grading, and more. This seminar has been designed to take you beyond the basics of differentiation so you can more confidently and more frequently implement differentiation instructional practices.

In my years of working with students of all ability levels and teachers from secondary classrooms, I have developed a unique understanding of what it takes to differentiate instruction for all learners across the content areas, and have developed a passion for sharing that with teachers. I will guide you through how you can adjust and adapt what you are currently doing with differentiation to make it easier and more effective for you and your students. You will discover new, creative ideas and strategies for designing lessons, tiering lessons, scaffolding instruction, making assessment more meaningful, managing group work, and ways to offer choices to students to increase their motivation and interest in learning.

I will help you take differentiation from a basic level to a more advanced level where you will be able to readily implement on a more consistent basis. Please join me for an exciting and strategy-packed day devoted to helping you take differentiation to the next level with strategies, ideas and activities you can use immediately. Together, we can make a difference for our students. I look forward to working with you.

Sincerely,

Kathleen Kryza

P.S. You will leave this seminar with practical ideas and an extensive resource handbook to help you implement these strategies in your own classroom.
