About Your Presenter

Susan Hentz is an enthusiastic and talented presenter with twenty-five years of experience as a teacher in regular education and special education, and as an author, speaker and educational consultant. She is an exceptional teacher and has worked with students ranging from birth through adulthood.

Susan has been honored as a model classroom teacher and as her state’s Council for Exceptional Children Teacher of the Year. She now works nationally with teachers, instructional coaches, paraprofessionals, and administrators to assist them in implementing RTI models to improve student achievement.

Susan is the author of the resource handbook, RESPONSE TO INTERVENTION: Powerful, Practical Tools and Strategies for Implementing RTI Through Collaborative or Co-Teaching Models (Grades K-6), that each participant will receive at this seminar.

Susan has presented nationally on various topics and best practices with emphasis in the areas of RTI, collaboration, co-teaching, inclusion, learning centers, parent involvement, and classroom management strategies. Her interactive seminars are high-energy, humorous, lively, and enjoyable.

In both presenting and writing, Susan focuses on practical tools and strategies for helping all teachers meet the diverse needs of student learners.
