Uniquely Qualified Instructor

Allyson Burnett is a highly experienced grades 6-12 teacher, author, national presenter, and consultant specializing in showing teachers how to build the skills their students will need to meet the challenges of the state standards. As co-author of the recently published 20 Literacy Strategies for Meeting the Common Core, Allyson has a wealth of knowledge about the most effective tools teachers can use to “show students how” to read and write with a purpose to get college and career ready.

With extensive experience as a secondary teacher, certified reading specialist, and interventionist, her “one-bite-at-a-time” philosophy to teaching and modeling practical strategies to meet the state standards will help all participants move from theory to action in their own school and classroom settings. You will also receive the extensive resource handbook, Helping Your Students Meet and Exceed State Standards for Reading and Writing (Grades 6-12), which Allyson wrote specifically for thisseminar.

Come and see why participants say Allyson “exceeds expectations” and provides strategies that can be “implemented immediately.” Whether you are an English/language arts teacher, a content-area teacher or an instructional coach, you will find Allyson’s ideas easy to use in your own classroom!
