Highly Experienced Elementary Teacher and Presenter

Jan Singleton is an experienced elementary teacher, university instructor and literacy trainer. She has presented her popular seminars across the country and has spoken at many local, state and national conferences. With over 45 years of classroom experience, she continues to search for the best, research-based ideas for differentiating instruction in the elementary classroom. She will give you numerous strategies that have been proven in the classroom to strengthen the learning of all students.

Jan is the author of Using DIFFERENTIATED INSTRUCTION in the Elementary Classroom: Practical Strategies to Use With the Whole Class or Small Groups (Grades 1-6), the extensive resource handbook each participant will receive at the seminar. She has also co-authored an article on interactive writing for “The Reading Teacher.” A chart on balanced literacy from that article was used in Constance Weaver’s third edition of Reading Process and Practice.

Come prepared to take back to your classroom some of Jan’s enthusiasm as she shares her passion for helping all students in grades 1-6 reach their full potential.
